This is an indicative list of what trees maybe in flower or bearing fruits throughout the year. It is not an exhaustive list, but an informative listing to encourage readers to explore further, and I suggest the Collins Book of British trees as a starting place.
The start of the full fruit picking season, with berry fruits, strawberries, raspberries etc leading, then the cherries, and gooseberries, followed by early apples and the fruits of the plum family and early apples.
Early bramble (blackberries) in favourably warm weather will be ready for picking too.
The list of trees is the same as May.
However sharp observation will show, hazel nuts, beech nuts, almond nuts and chestnuts all showing signs of growth on the various trees, plus too mulberries.
The seeds of the sycamore, hornbeam, ash, larch, London plane and oak are all showing well too at this stage.
